One of my biggest passions is biking- from road biking, to mountain biking, from competing to recreation, bikes are a love language of mine. You think I’m kidding, but anyone who knows me knows that simply saying “I love to bike” is an understatement. Owning a bike can be similar to owning a car- the more they’re ridden, the more you have to take care of them. So, who do I trust with my bikes? It’s a no brainer- Evergreen Bike Shop. I have been supporting this local Evergreen business for years now and it’s about time I spread the word!

So, what’s the hype all about? Let me break it down for you- 

For starters, if you’re looking for a bike, they’ve got it. Take home a brand new ride, or maybe it’s not in the budget this year, then head to their rotating selection of quality service, pre-owned, gently used bikes for a more affordable route! Perhaps you’re just visiting and looking to cruise the bike path, or maybe you're looking to be a bit more adventurous, rentals are available and come in all “shapes and sizes.” And if you’re unfamiliar with the area, don’t hesitate to ask! These people know trails and they know them well. They will help you figure out just what you need- from bike fit, to activity level, you’re in good hands.

A unique feature about their service shop is that they offer several different service packages, depending on what you are needing/looking for, while also providing individualized services for smaller, more specific needs. A special entity of EG Bike Shop is “Altitude Cycling.” Owners Marty & Kersten Albe offer specialized training services for those looking for a coach to prepare them for their future competition/race. The “Commit to Stay Fit” coaching program at Altitude Cycling caters to XC Mountain Bike athletes that are looking to either prepare for an upcoming race or are just looking to stay “in bike shape” year round. An athlete himself, Marty specializes in XC Mountain Biking and events that pertain to the XC biking world. I am always honored to recommend Marty to anyone who is looking for a structured plan to achieve their goals. While Marty may be the cycling fanatic, Kersten handles the restorative side of being an athlete by providing Yoga Sessions through the shop as well. A great addition to any athlete’s regimen, and really, anyone looking to show their body some love and strength! 

I am thrilled to be featuring Evergreen Bike Shop & Altitude Cycling in this month’s newsletter. Not only because of the amazing things their shop offers and provides, but also because of their commitment to supporting our community and spreading that special “locals” kind of love. Marty & Kersten take pride in supporting not only the outdoor enthusiasts alike, but in our community itself. As members of the Evergreen Cycling Community, they support our local high school biking team, as well as working with dealers to donate bikes to our Evergreen middle schools to promote the love of biking/staying active!
