Happy Holidays!
Taking a step back to remember what this season truly means…
This is the time of year where we tend to get so busy- whether that be rushing to prepare for family gatherings, hosting/entertaining, scurrying from one social and/or religious event to the next, buying last minute gifts, cleaning, organizing activities, wrapping up end of the year work requirements- the list goes on! And somewhere in between all of that, we can easily forget what the Holidays are actually about…
Throughout the years of managing the stress of the Holidays, I slowly discovered that all these parts of the season were interfering with what the Holidays truly mean to me. To me, it is not only a time to take a step away from the typical stressors of daily life, but it’s a great time to reflect and step into the present moment; to slow down, enjoy time away and cherish the moments spent with my loved ones or simply just myself. This year, I encourage you all to find that time to discover what the Holidays mean to you as well and honor that. It’s the gift we all deserve.
For me, the most important things in my life are the people; from family and friends, to clients and coworkers, to neighbors, and to those that are dear to me, but I don’t hear from all too often. Every single person that has been a part of my journey in life, please know that I appreciate you. I am grateful for the relationships that I have developed throughout my life and that have shaped it in more ways than I have time to share. Please know I always enjoy the unexpected run-ins, the calls and messages- they genuinely fill me with joy and remind me of that gratitude. It would be an honor if you were to think of me as a your local resource, whether for real estate, a handyman referral, a trail recommendation, as an outdoor recreational partner, or just a spot for a good cup of coffee!
So, to my friends, family, colleagues and neighbors…
My hope is that you all enjoy the Holidays, however it looks for you this year! Take the time to slow down, create space to ground yourself in the present, spread kindness, reach out to someone near and/or dear to you, indulge in some much deserved self care, and last, but certainly not least- have fun!
Wishing you a beautiful season filled with good health, love, laughter, cherished moments, and a positive end of 2024 paired with an excitement for the New Year! See you in 2025-
With Love and Gratitude,
Julia Paluck (Purrington)
